DHEA and Magnesium
100% of us are magnesium deficient and it’s obvious because we keep aging!
Degenerative aging is directly related to insufficient magnesium, according
to Holy Water, Sacred Oil, The Fountain of Youth by Dr. Norman Shealy
C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D. is one of the world’s leading experts in pain management. His research into this has led to several patented techniques for pain relief. He is a graduate of Duke University medical school and a well-known author and lecturer. Since retiring from private practice in 1999, Dr. Shealy has devoted his time to research. Here’s what I’ve learned from him.
Sufficient Magnesium will support the nervous system, heart, blood, and normal hormone levels, particularly DHEA levels. Taking DHEA is not recommended. Making your own is the best answer, and to do that you need sufficient minerals.
DHEA/magnesium deficiency symptoms include: (are you ready for this?) anxiety, hyperactivity, confusion, depression, diarrhea, or constipation, faintness, fatigue, hyperventilation, lack of coordination, insomnia, intestinal problems, muscle cramps, muscle tightness (and with that chronic spinal misalignments/subluxations) pain, poor memory, seizures, tinnitus (ear ringing and other noises) hearing loss, vertigo (dizziness),
Major diseases associated with DHEA/ magnesium deficiency are: angina pectoris, arrhythmia, asthma, atherosclerosis, Attention Deficit Disorder, (ADHD) auricular fibrillation, bulimia, cancer, cardiomyopathy, chronic fatigue, chronic bronchitis, congestive heart failure, cirrhosis, depression, diabetes, emphysema, gall bladder infections and stones, hearing loss, heart attack, high cholesterol, hypertension, hypoglycemia, chronic infection (viral and bacterial) intermittent claudication (leg calf pain), kidney stones, migraine, mitral-valve prolapse, osteoporosis, panic attacks, PMS (premenstrual syndrome), benign prostate hypertrophy, and strokes.
In no illness is DHEA/magnesium deficiency more prevalent than myocardial infarction (acute heart attack).
On average, heart attack patients immediately given magnesium intravenously have a 50% greater survival rate. It has also been shown that mothers who are given magnesium intravenous feedings just before giving birth are much less likely to have children who develop cerebral palsy.
When DHEA is raised, testosterone levels are raised. This raises libido in men and women. DHEA is a major reflector of overall health and stress reserves. DHEA is the health and youth hormone.
Norm Shealy, has tested magnesium oil using it transdermally against oral
and intravenous applications. He emphasizes that through magnesium transdermal
use, DHEA levels raise within a short period of time. Dr. Shealy also
states that the best absorbed oral magnesium is magnesium taurate, but
in his experience, it takes up to five years of taking oral magnesium
to restore intracellular levels to normal range. But using magnesium oil
transdermally, it restores the intracellar levels within four weeks.
